He has enjoyed his show appearances on various networks, but Jalen Milroe is committed to one thing.

The starting quarterback for the University of Alabama football program wants to represent the Crimson Tide in the best way all the time. He took on a question last week via ESPN’s First Take concerning the 12-team College Football Playoff.

Some players may look at opting out of marquee games in the fall, especially if their team has locked up a spot in a conference championship game or have one of the top four seeds in the playoff. Milroe wants no part of opting out.

He shared with the ESPN the importance of Alabama putting its best self on display each week.

“Not at all,” Milroe said about if he would consider opting out of the Iron Bowl if Alabama locked up an SEC title slot.

“It is about finishing. Finish the season out. That’s one of the pillars of our program.”

Milroe said Alabama wants to have an opportunity to present its best self every time no matter what.

Others may choose to opt out of games, but we will not see that happening from Milroe.
