The former Alabama wide receiver was cleared as a full training camp participant in June after being diagnosed with leukemia cancer his rookie year, missing the entire 2022 season and playing sparingly in 2023.
Metchie III now finds himself amongst a very talented Houston Texans receiving core after the team brought in veteran Pro-Bowl receiver, Stefon Diggs, to pair with Tank Dell and Nico Collins. Schultz shared many teams have reached out to Texans to see if he is ‘available in trade.’
