Gary Cosby Jr. - USA Today Sports

Kalen DeBoer updated two injuries for Alabama in Wednesday’s SEC Coaches Teleconference.

The Crimson Tide faces Vanderbilt on Saturday after a marquee win over Georgia last week. DeVonta Smith, a fourth-year defensive back, sustained cramps against the Bulldogs. The Cincinnati (Ohio) native recorded three tackles and two pass breakups in Alabama’s 41-34 victory. He cramped up in the second half on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

According to Coach DeBoer, Smith is good to go in facing the Commodores.

“He’s been practicing all week,” DeBoer said about Smith.

Smith has nine total tackles, five pass breakups (team-high), and a quarterback hurry in four games.

Alabama will have its starter at Husky ready to go in its second road matchup of the season.
