LSU could be without two of its key players for Saturday’s matchup against Alabama.
On the initial availability report, Tigers wide receiver CJ Daniels and Whit Weeks were listed as questionable due to injury.
Daniels would be a bigger loss for LSU if he is unable to play. The Liberty transfer has been a key target in the passing game for quarterback Garrett Nusmeier. Daniels has reeled in 29 receptions for 342 yards in seven games. He is the team’s third leading receiver.
Weeks has played sparingly this season. He is the older brother of LSU linebacker and leading tackler Whit Weeks. The senior has recorded five tackles this season.
In addition to Weeks and Daniels being listed as questionable, there are 12 players that were listed as out for the Tigers against the Crimson Tide. Several of those players have suffered previous injuries causing them to miss the rest of the season. Recently, LSU starting left guard Garrett Dellinger underwent tightrope surgery to repair a high ankle sprain that he suffered against Texas A&M.
Alabama will be without starting safety Keon Sabb and reserve wide receiver Cole Adams. Both of them will miss the rest of the season due to injury.
