Will Alabama football win a College Football Playoff National Championship in Kalen DeBoer’s first year as a head coach?

The founder of Barstool Sports hopes so.

Dave Portnoy is an alumnus of the University of Michigan, but he is also the founder of Barstool Sports. He made a huge wager in the 2023 season that his Alma mater would beat the Crimson Tide.

Michigan not only beat a Nick Saban-coached team in the Rose Bowl that ended up being Saban’s final season, but the Wolverines also won the CFP National Championship. Portnoy, this time around, is putting his money on the crimson and white.

He placed a massive, $100,000 wager on Alabama winning it all this season. The Tide is in a position to play for an SEC Championship if it wins out the remainder of its regular season schedule.

It is also in the CFP race if it wins out as well.

This one right here is interesting as a Michigan alum has rooting interest in the Tide.
