Everything matters to Alabama football fans, including the right dress code.
A suit and tie may not be for everyone like it was for Nick Saban, but a head coach needs to stick with the dress attire he has — especially if it is a winning formula. Kalen DeBoer has a winning formula in his first year with the Crimson Tide.
People gave him a side-eye earlier this season for his choices, but DeBoer has one piece of clothing that he’s been undefeated for Alabama when he wears it. The Tide is 8-3 through 11 games, yet DeBoer is 7-0 when he wears a black hoodie with black “ALABAMA” print letters inside a boxed Crimson border with a Crimson Nike sign underneath.

He wore the hoodie versus Western Kentucky, South Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Missouri, LSU, and Mercer.
Alabama won all seven matchups and scored 40-plus points offensively in five of those games.
DeBoer wore a red hoodie with the Alabama “script A” in the middle and the words Alabama Crimson Tide in white print in a circle for the Wisconsin game.
The Tide won that matchup, 42-10, on the road.
He wore a crimson zip jacket with the Alabama “script A” and the Nike sign on each side of the jacket versus Tennessee, yet the Tide suffered a 17-24 loss. In a 35-40 loss at Vanderbilt, DeBoer wore a crimson shirt with “ALABAMA” in crimson print inside a boxed white border with a white Nike sign underneath. He sported a black hoodie with a white Alabama “script A” and a white Nike sign underneath last week versus Oklahoma.
Alabama suffered a 3-24 loss on the road to the Sooners.
It has specifically been the black hoodie with black “ALABAMA” on it in a boxed Crimson border with a crimson Nike sign underneath that has given DeBoer the most success in his first season.
Alabama is 7-0 with him in that attire.
The Tide has played its best football with him in this attire. Jalen Milroe has tossed 10 touchdown passes and has 24 total scores to three interceptions with DeBoer in the winning hoodie.
Hopefully, he goes with the attire mentioned above for the Iron Bowl.
