Justin Hill signed with the Alabama Crimson Tide Wednesday, choosing to play under the Tide’s head coach Kalen DeBoer.
Hill is one of the country’s most talented 2025 edge prospects as a four-star recruit, and he is a player DeBoer is excited to coach in the future.
“Justin Hill is a special, special player,” DeBoer said. “This is a place that he and his family love first of all. So, there was a little special connection that way. They love Alabama football, but just from athleticism, explosiveness, playmaking standpoint, you can see his film, and you can see what we see and how special he is. But then you dive in deeper and you find out that this guy is someone who is just passionate about being a great teammate, being a great leader. He cares about what it feels like. I think his season coming to an end, and I can remember it vividly about that impact that it had on him and how he knew he’s going to go play football, But there’s a lot of teammates that weren’t and how bad he felt. And that just says a lot about the character. He’s an extremely hard worker. We are excited about what he’s going to bring from a dynamic standpoint to the wolf position.”

At 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, Hill is an edge with a wide variety of ways to get to the quarterback when he is coming off the edge. He plays with active hands, has the strength to bullrush offensive linemen and can bend the edge. The four-star also operates in space extremely well with great effort on his backside pursuit and with the ability to eat up space in the open field.
