Former Alabama running back, Bo Scarbrough is pumped to have Keelon Russell en route to Tuscaloosa to play for Alabama football.
Russell is a five-star quarterback prospect and the 2024 National Gatorade Player of the Year. The praise for the future Alabama quarterback has been non stop as of late as he secured consensus five-star status during a masterful senior campaign.
Scarbrough has seen quite a bit of Russell this season and feels he will bring good energy to the Crimson Tide.
“I watched Keelon Russell play 4 time this year. He is the real deal. I watched him tonight. He’s a great leader with poise. Great player we getting for him to buy into the system and learn from the older guys. #ROLLTIDE,” Scarbrough posted to X.
The former Tide running back was asked what he feels is Russell’s top attribute in a comment on the post.
“He wants to sit in the pocket and throw the ball, not looking to run. Most importantly, he’s very calm during a clutch time moments, don’t let anything get to him,” Scarbrough replied.
Russell is expected to be an early enrollee at the University of Alabama.
