Former four-star and Alabama defensive back Jahlil Hurley will be transferring to Kansas per his rep Casey Gunn.
Coming out of high school, Hurley was regarded as a four-star prospect. He chose to sign with Alabama over Auburn. Hurley spent two seasons in Tuscaloosa. He played in nine games for the Crimson Tide. The Alabama native recorded one tackle.
He became the second Alabama transfer to announce his next school on Sunday evening. The first was former Alabama outside linebacker Keanu Koht who committed to the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Hurley will look to earn a key role on the Jayhawks defense next season. At 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds, Hurley can play in the slot or serve as a boundary corner. Whatever the case may be, it will be interesting to see how he fares in Lawrence next season. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
