Former Alabama defensive lineman Brandon Deadrick has been hired as Southern Miss’ next defensive line coach. Southern Miss made the news official on Thursday via the team’s official X account.
Deadrick most recently served as an analyst at Ole Miss. He spent two seasons in Oxford. Prior to that, he served as the defensive line coach at East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Mississippi.
He played at Alabama from 2005-2009. During that time, Deadrick played in 41 games recording 81 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and seven sacks. He was also a part of the Alabama team that won the 2010 BCS National Championship against Texas.
It will be interesting to follow Deadrick to see how his position group and the Golden Eagles fare during the 2025 season. He will serve under Southern Miss head coach and former Alabama assistant Charles Huff.
