Alabama visits 5-star QB target

Nashville Christian's Jared Curtis (2) celebrates after the win over Columbia Academy in the TSSAA Bluecross Bowl on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The Alabama coaching staff is busy on the recruiting trail. In the past week, the coaching staff has stopped by multiple high schools and taken in-home visits with recruiting targets in the 2026 and 2027 classes.

2026 5-star quarterback Jared Curtis received a visit from Alabama’s coaching staff on Monday. Curtis recently released a top-six that consists of Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Auburn, South Carolina, and Ohio State.

Curtis plays for Nashville Christian School in Nashville, Tennessee. The signal-caller is listed at 6-foot-4 and 226 pounds. Over the course of his high school career, Curtis has thrown for 7,665 yards and 92 touchdowns. In 37 games, he has thrown 19 interceptions.

Previously, Curtis was committed to Georgia. He still has the Bulldogs in the mix. Alabama has always been a school that Curtis has liked. His relationship with the Crimson Tide even stems back to when Nick Saban was at the helm.

Curtis has locked in official visits this summer to Georgia, Oregon, and South Carolina. With Alabama signing 5-star Keelon Russell in the ‘25 class, it could impact Alabama’s chances of landing Curtis. Nonetheless, Alabama is trying its best to stay in the mix for the Tennessee native.
