Elbert Hill is feeling good about where Alabama football stands in his recruitment at the moment.
Hill is a four-star defensive back, and he is consider the No. 1 cornerback in the 2026 recruiting class by multiple recruiting outlets.
The Ohio product received a visit from the Crimson Tide’s head coach Kalen DeBoer and Alabama’s defensive back coach Maurice Linguist this week and revealed the Tide was one of the top schools in his recruitment following the visit.
“They stand pretty high in my recruitment,” Hill told Touchdown Alabama.
Alabama will look to get the defensive back on campus again in a few months.
“I’ll get down for a spring practice,” Hill said.
The Tide offered the four-star in June of 2024. He talked about Alabama in a complimentary fashion after earning the offer at camp.
“This offer means a lot to me and shows me what I’m capable of, and I can compete on the next level,” Hill said. “It’s a great program, one of the top programs in the SEC and they produced a lot of great cornerbacks.”
Hill is a dangerous and explosive athlete with the football in his hands on offense and in the return game for Archbishop Hoban High School, and his ball skills carries over to the defensive side of the football along with his speed and ability to go stride to stride with wide receivers. He currently stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs 175 pounds.
