Former Alabama linebackers coach Robert Bala has been hired as Florida’s co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.
Bala spent the 2023 season at Alabama. He served as the team’s linebackers coach on Nick Saban’s final coaching staff.
Following the 2023 season, Bala was not retained by Alabama’s new coaching staff. He was subsequently hired as Washington’s inside linebackers coach.
Bala will assist former Alabama safety Vinnie Sunseri with the defensive play-calling duties. The two will be a part of Billy Napier’s coaching staff in Gainesville. Each of which were once either a player or coach under Saban.
