Alabama football’s offensive lineman, Roq Montgomery created some buzz recently when he shared the Crimson Tide are more locked in this offseason.
The Anniston product painted the picture of the Tide getting back to what made them successful under Nick Saban. He did this by listing a few examples while talking on The Bama Standard.
“You can’t be late to workouts no more,” Montgomery said. “No more jewelry. No more necklaces. None of that. It’s not a fashion show. It’s football.”
A couple of former Alabama players had different reactions to the statement. Damien Harris appeared to be confused about why this was not the expectation in the past.
“The “no more” is what’s sending me.. Lol,” Harris posted to X.
Former Tide linebacker, Reggie Ragland took more of an uplifting approach in response to Harris.
“Lil bro just let them figure it out and be great!!!” Ragland posted.
Alabama is hopeful this new level of focus will pay dividends in 2025.
