Former Alabama QB highlights what will separate Ryan Grubb from Nick Sheridan as offensive coordinator

Former Alabama quarterback and National Champion, AJ McCarron feels the Crimson Tide should have more success on offense next season with effective quarterback play.

McCarron won two National Championships as the starting quarterback for the Crimson Tide.

The Mobile, Alabama product is familiar with enjoying success in Tuscaloosa and feels the future success of Alabama’s offense relies on the play of the quarterback position.

McCarron pointed this out when asked about the hiring of Ryan Grubb on the “McGready & Siskey” podcast.

“I don’t know what plays are going to be completely different from that play call sheet they had last year with Nick Sheridan,” McCarron said. “I think what’s going to help is you’re going to have somebody else at the helm of the offense that is going to be able to throw the ball a little bit better, possibly pre-snap read and post-snap read a little bit better, have a little more accuracy when they decide to throw it, and I think that’s going to improve your offense.”

The Crimson Tide have a three-way quarterback battle on their hands heading into spring practice.
