The Aaron Rodgers era in New York has officially come to an end after two seasons, and one betting site is projecting Alabama quarterback, Jalen Milroe as the possible heir apparent under center for the AFC franchise this upcoming season.
According to the gambling site, Bookies.com, Milroe currently has the second highest-odds at (+550) to take the first snap under center as the New York Jets starting quarterback in 2025. Milroe only trails Kirk Cousins at (+500) and is listed ahead of veteran quarterbacks such as Tyrod Taylor (+750), Russell Wilson (+800), Sam Darnold (+850), Justin Fields (+900), Derek Carr (+1000), Matthew Stafford (+1400), Carson Wentz (+1750), and Jameis Winston (+1800).
Milroe will have a chance to sit down with Jets as well as other NFL team officials later this month when he competes at the NFL Combine at Oil Lucas Stadium in Indianapolis from February 27th to March 1st. It will be intriguing to see if these odds are subject to change based on meetings and Milroe’s overall performance during the combine.
