Taven Epps reported an offer from Alabama football earlier this month, adding to his already impressive offer list.
Epps is a product of Tustin High School in California. He garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites and is considered one of the best linebacker prospects in the 2027 recruiting class. The sophomore is grateful to hold an offer from the Tide.
“It means a lot,” Epps told Touchdown Alabama. “This is a big-time program, and they have a great history with putting out talent.”
Georgia, Tennessee, Texas and USC are among the programs to previously offer Epps. A visit to Tuscaloosa is something the California product feels he has to make plans for in the future.
“Have to take a trip to Bama,” Epps said.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder can play sideline to sideline as an off-the-ball linebacker. He consistently makes sound and effective tackles by lowering his pads and wrapping his arms around ball carriers upon contact. His size, strength and ability to play in space give him position versatility as he has the potential to make plays off the edge on the collegiate level.
“Communication on and off the field with my teammates by being a leader and dominating,” said Epps when asked about his strengths.
