Nathan Carson was on the campus of the University of Alabama when the Crimson Tide kicked off spring practice on Monday.

The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder left campus with an offer from the Crimson Tide, fulfilling a childhood dream.

“It means a lot because I have been an Alabama fan since I was a little kid,” Carson told Touchdown Alabama. “This just feels like a dream come true.”

The sophomore attends Irmo High School in Columbia, South Carolina. He reports previous offers from South Carolina, Florida State, Virginia Tech and others.

Carson feels the Alabama football program excels in multiple areas.

“It is amazing with the level of intensity on and off the field expectations the coaches have on the players,” Carson said. “Everything is just perfect.”

Irmo lines Carson up at right tackle. The new Alabama target is strong and powerful in the trenches with the ability to effectively perform different blocking assignments, including zone blocking and combo blocks. He also flashes in pass protection.
