Alabama freshman wide receiver ‘hard to keep up with’ in spring practice

Alabama football’s defensive back, Brayson Hubbard feels covering the Crimson Tide’s freshman wide receiver, Lotzeir Brooks is challenging.

Brooks is a true freshman, who is going through spring practice with the Crimson Tide after enrolling in January.

The former four-star put together one of the best high school careers the state of New Jersey had ever seen before bringing his talents to Tuscaloosa. He finished his time at Millville High School as the state’s all-time leader in receiving touchdowns.

Brooks was heralded as one of the best wide receiver prospects in the 2025 recruiting class with his blend of explosiveness and athleticism.

Those traits look to be giving the Alabama defense problems this spring.

“Lotzeir Brooks, he’s doing really great,” Hubbard said. “That dude’s fast. He’s hard to keep up with. I will say, I ain’t even gonna lie. Hard to keep up with him.”

Alabama returns a lot of production  to its wide receiver room from the 2024 season. Brooks could very well find himself a spot in the rotation if he continues to make plays.
