Gavin Williams grew up liking what he saw coming from Alabama football.
Williams is a product of Damien High School in California, and he is a 2027 four-star prospect. He holds previous offers from Auburn, Notre Dame, Texas A&M and others with more than 25 college football offers next to his name.
Alabama football became the latest program to offer Williams on Thursday. He shared Alabama was one of his ‘favorites’ growing up.
“This offer means the world to me, one of my dream schools growing up,” Williams told Touchdown Alabama. “It is a historical program.”
Williams has never visited the Crimson Tide, but he is interested in setting up a summer visit.
The California product displays ball-hawking ability on the backend at safety. He tracks the football exceptionally well and has great ball skills at around 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds. He has a tendency to create turnovers by being in the right spot with a nose for the football. The new Alabama target feels his ‘instincts’ and ‘ball skills’ are strengths of his game at the moment.
