Alabama football’s former quarterback, Greg McElroy feels there are question marks on the Crimson Tide’s 2025 schedule.

The Tide will enter the 2025 season with high expectations in Kalen DeBoer’s second year in Tuscaloosa. They will kick off the season against Florida State in an intriguing matchup with its own sets of question marks with the biggest being how much Florida State has improved since the 2024 season. McElroy feels there are question marks surrounding multiple opponents Alabama will face on the road in 2025.

“I think Missouri’s a big question mark,” McElroy said on ESPN’s “Always College Football.” “South Carolina is a big question mark. And frankly, I think Auburn is a huge question mark as well. Knowing that they’ve improved in so many areas this past season and addressing concerns from the previous year, I think they’ve actually brought in premier talent kind of across the board.”

The former Alabama signal caller also feels Alabama’s chances of having more than 10 wins in 2025 depend on how they perform on the road.

“The home schedule I think is pretty manageable,” McElroy said. “You have Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, LSU, Oklahoma and Eastern Illinois. Those are games that can all be won by the Tide…So you look at Bama trying to get to that 10 win plateau yet again, I like their chances. I really do. But it starts by being undefeated at home. And it also starts by making sure that they play up to their potential on the road, which they did not always do a year ago. I think if I had to pick though, I think I’d take Bama on the over this year. I like what they have back. I like the continuity. I think you might be kind of getting in on an underrated Alabama team going into the season, which is rare. That’s seldom the case for the Crimson Tide.”

Alabama kicks off the season against Florida State on Aug. 30.
