Germie Bernard believes Alabama football has the best secondary in all of college football.
The Crimson Tide have returned multiple starters and players with starting experience to its secondary ahead of the 2025 season.
Bernard feels challenged by the different skill sets each Alabama defensive backs possess, but he most looks forward to going up against Domani Jackson.
“I love going against Domani,” Bernard said when asked which defensive back gives him the biggest challenge on Thursday. “He’s just very handsy, very physical. He’s smart, he’s a veteran. So, he knows what to do. He knows what levers to take away, different things, how I’m lined up. So, I really have to think when I go against him.”
Jackson started at cornerback for Alabama in every game during the 2024 season. He finished the year with 52 tackles, seven pass breakups and two interceptions.
