5 Alabama football flip targets to know ahead of fall recruiting

It is no secret Alabama football is going to continue to go after some of the best recruits committed elsewhere during the fall.

It is simply the nature of recruiting until pen hits paper.

Here is a look at five potential flip targets for the Crimson Tide:

Anthony Jones – 5-Star LB

The Tide’s coaching staff is not expected to let Jones leave the state without a fight. Jones is a five-star defender out of Mobile, Alabama, and he is currently committed to Oregon.

Jones chose the Ducks over Alabama and Texas A&M earlier this month.

The five-star is one of the most gifted and versatile defenders the state has produced in recent years. He could play the wolf linebacker position or the bandit role in Kane Wommack’s 4-2-5 scheme. Look out for the Tide in their push to possibly flip Jones. It is important Alabama continues to build its relationship with Jones.

“It’s great,” Jones told Touchdown Alabama when asked about his relationship with the Tide before he committed to Oregon. “I know when they first came, it wasn’t really that good. But now, I have built relationships with the coaches, and it got way better, especially with coach C Rob (Christian Robinson).”
