Alabama’s current wide receiver coach JaMarcus Shephard was not present at the Tide’s latest practice. He is currently transitioning to his new role as the head coach at Oregon State, but he is expected to coach the Tide during the playoff.
Ryan Williams gave his thoughts on the Tide’s wide receiver coaching situation on Friday.
“Last week, he (Shephard) was around a little bit,” Williams said. “I don’t know if he’s gonna be around as much this week, but we love that he has this opportunity, and we got guys like coach Hughes stepping up already, and coach Torrey Gill. We got guys ready to go just like our players are.”
Alabama is preparing to take on Oklahoma in the first round of the College Football Playoff.
