Alabama football’s offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb feels a pair of Crimson Tide freshmen can make an immediate impact in Tuscaloosa.
WAKA Action 8 News TV sports reporter, Julianna Reichenbach recently caught up with Grubb, and he discussed the addition of both Ezavier Crowell and Cederian Morgan. Crowell was one of the top running backs in the 2026 recruiting class, and Morgan was an elite wide receiver prospect.

Grubb feels both players have what it takes to play in the fall.
“They’re already here on campus, back in Tuscaloosa,” Grubb said. “There’s a lot of physical characteristics that both of them have. They’re outstanding players, but the maturity and the mindset that those two guys have already at this point in their career has been really impressive. I’m excited to see what they can do this year. They’re not gonna have to wait long to get on the field.”
Crowell be competing to get on the field in a running back room looking for answers after the Tide had a subpar rushing attack during the 2025 season. Morgan will look to prove he can be a dependable option at wide receiver for the Tide in a room looking to develop some trusted targets.
Both players are already enrolled at the University of Alabama and will go through spring practice with the Tide.
