Alabama Heisman Trophy winner wants revenge on Florida State: “All that matters is you made us a mockery”

Former Alabama football running back and Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram is fired up to watch the Crimson Tide take on Florida State on Saturday after the Seminoles defeated Alabama to open the 2025 season.

Florida State shocked many last season in Tallahassee when the Seminoles defeated the Crimson Tide 31-17. While Alabama’s players and coaches have not added fuel to the fire of the narrative that this weekend is a revenge game, Ingram was not afraid to do so.

“It doesn’t matter about stats, doesn’t matter about who you have lined up,” Ingram said on the “Triple Option Show.” “All that matters is you made us a mockery. You made us the laughing stock of college football. So, right now, it’s about pride. It’s about Bama Nation, the ones who come before you, the ones who are coming after you. We have to hold it down and make this about principalities. We have to make it about principalities. And this about pride. It ain’t even about none of this.
Hey, they did us one type of way, and we gotta do them three, four, five different kinds of ways on Saturday in Tuscaloosa. Can’t come in our house and do this stuff, man.”

The Crimson Tide will get their opportunity to pay back the Seminoles Saturday in Tuscaloosa on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT, and the game will be broadcast on ABC.
