Alabama RB upgraded to questionable ahead of clash with FSU

Alabama running back AK Dear is considered to be questionable ahead of tomorrow’s contest against Florida State, according to ON3’s Pete Nakos.

Dear has yet to make an appearance in 2026 as the running back has been recovering from a lower body injury suffered late in fall camp. The sophomore was reportedly playing at an extremely high level throughout the offseason, and Dear could emerge as an instant difference maker should he become available prior to Saturday’s matchup. 

Dear recorded 140 yards and three touchdowns on 19 total carries in 2025. The running back will certainly see a much larger workload this season when healthy, and an update in regard to Dear’s status should come to light tomorrow morning or early afternoon.
