Alabama defensive leader let his teammates know he was ‘not satisfied’ with win over FSU

Alabama football veteran defender Bray Hubbard let his teammates know he was not satisfied with the Crimson Tide’s win over Florida State.

The Tide defeated the Seminoles 50-36 after getting off to a slow start on both sides of the football. Hubbard let the Tide’s defense know how he felt about the win after the game, per Yhonzae Pierre.

“Definitely, Bray Hubbard was not satisfied,” Pierre said. “It was a good team win. We brought each other up, and we just got to clean up some little things.”

The Seminoles jumped out on the Tide early on Saturday, and once led Alabama 21-6 in the first half after Florida State’s offense scored three times. Hubbard feels a lack of focus on details led to those scores.

“Just some little details or whatnot we got to clean up,” Pierre said when asked about the focus on Hubbard’s message to the Tide’s defense. “We all had our problems or whatnot, our little busts. We just keep each other up, keep each other high, and we’re just going to feed off this win right here. We’re going to clean it up and get ready for next week.”

Pierre went on to say the Alabama defense was not surprised by anything they saw from the Seminoles on Saturday.

“They have a pretty good offense,” Pierre told reporters. “They got a pretty good scheme, and we was just prepared to kind of stop it or whatnot. We just got to do better.”

Alabama will be back at home on Saturday when the Tide welcomes South Carolina to Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
