The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the South Carolina Gamecocks at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday evening.
Alabama will look to start strong and fast against a talented Gamecocks’ team. The Tide have struggled to play at a high level to begin games on numerous occasions this year, and the team as a whole will look to set the tone early on against South Carolina.
Sophomore quarterback Keelon Russell and the rest of the Tide’s offense will face an excellent test against the Gamecocks’ veteran defensive unit as well. Alabama tight end Marshall Pritchett recently took a moment to comment on facing South Carolina, as Pritchett claims that limiting star defensive end Dylan Stewart will be critical throughout the contest.
“Dylan Stewart is an incredible player.” Pritchett said. “We’ve kind of harped on it, started our scouting report stuff, you got to try and get hands on him. He’s obviously very quick, very agile, we respect him. We are looking forward to putting the technique we are working on Monday through Friday, just to put it to the test on Saturday.”
Stewart has been quiet to begin 2026, as the veteran has just one solo tackle over the first three games of the season. Pritchett and the rest of the Tide’s offense appear to have a clear game plan in regard to limiting the superstar defender, and the unit as a whole could quickly begin shutting Stewart down on Saturday evening.
