Alabama football fans won’t have to wait and wonder about who will be the starting quarterback for Arkansas State.
Nick Saban has announced that he will start Tua Tagovailoa against Arkansas State for this coming Saturday’s week two matchup at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Saban also said that they will also use Jalen Hurts’ skillset at some time if it can benefit the team.

Tweet comes from Saban’s presser.
In reflecting on why he chose to start Tagovailoa over Hurts against Louisville, Saban reverts back to his friendly statement of “winning the team.”
“We make all of our decisions based on winning,” Saban said in today’s presser. “Whoever we feel gives us the best opportunity to go out and win, that’s who we are going to play… In our opinion, one player did a little better job of (winning the team) so he got the opportunity to start.”
After his dominating performance against Louisville in week one, Tua Tagovailoa seems to have solidified his spot as the Tide’s starting QB for 2018. This past Saturday, Tua led a potent passing attack going 12/16 for 227 yards with two passing TD’s. He also added another rushing touchdown to his resume.
