Jackson Bratton Scouting Report
Strengths: Not afraid to take on blocks, Can play sideline to sideline, Attacks plays away from him, Can cover the flat, Can close on the ball quickly, Brings arms on tackles
Weaknesses: Needs to work on lowering pad level on tackles, Goes for the big hit a ton
Evaluation: Bratton is a linebacker, who has the knowledge and comfortability to defend against the pass and come down aggressive on the blitz. He takes good angles to the backfield and brings his arms when he is making tackles, which make it hard for ball carriers to get away from him once he has them in grasp he can play sideline to sideline and does a good of covering the flat in zone coverage. He tries to get in on every play, even if the play is going away from him. He loves making the big hit and he has the size to make ball carriers feel him, but he will need to work on gauging when to make the sure tackle and when to go all out for the big hit. He also comes in to high on the tackle at times. He will need to work on lowering his pad level to exceed at the next level, especially when he attempts to make a hit in the open field.
