Alabama DL Justin Eboigbe shares update on offseason surgery

John David Mercer - USA Today Sports

He was one of a few defensive linemen from Alabama’s 2019 signing class that earned much playing time last season.

Justin Eboigbe is looking to make more noise as a sophomore, especially upon recovering from a recent surgery.

After sustaining an injury in fall practice, the talented true freshman played in nine games – recording 10 tackles, three tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and one quarterback pressure.

A native of Forest Park, Ga., Eboigbe earned a lot of reps when LaBryan Ray was hurt during August and throughout the season and it helped him.

The 6-foot-5, 294-pounder was a four-star prospect and having Ray back with him will make him even better.

While the cause of him having surgery is unknown, it is good to see that Eboigbe is recovering and doing well.
