5-Star RB Emmanuel Henderson includes Alabama in top schools’ list

Emmanuel Henderson warms up ahead of game

2022 5-Star running back and Geneva County High School product (AL) Emmanuel Henderson released his top 10 schools Wednesday, which included mostly SEC programs.

Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, USC, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Florida, Clemson and Tennessee made up Henderson’s first top school list. The Tide offered the in-state running back in March during one of its Junior Day events. In an video interview with Touchdown Alabama in September, the 5-Star prospect said he had a lot of ‘love’ for Alabama.

“I love Alabama,” Henderson said. “It is a great program, a winning program. I like their coaching staff. Coach Charles Kelly is a great man. We have a great relationship with each other.”

A couple of schools included in Henderson’s’ top 10 were able to get him on campus before the current recruiting dead period was put in place, including the Crimson Tide. This could very well be a recruiting battle that comes down to two in-state programs as Auburn and Alabama both look like strong contenders in Henderson’s recruitment. He has said on record that Auburn is his dream school.

Henderson is currently having a fantastic junior year as he is approaching 4,000 career rushing yards. He is finished his sophomore season with 2,000 rushing yard and 46 touchdowns. The Geneva County product is working on a similar stat line this year as he has had some big games during this season, including a five-touchdown performance with Touchdown Alabama in attendance.
