Brandon Turnage Scouting Report

Strengths: Naturally athletic, Has explosive speed, Can play close to the line of scrimmage, Can play safety and cornerback,

Weaknesses: Pad level on open field tackles, tackling form

Evaluation: Turnage is a natural athlete, who can play multiple positions on the field. He has explosive speed and can easily turn interceptions into points. His experience at wide receiver enables him to jump on routes and disrupt plays with great quickness. He can also float to the ball with his great speed. He comes in too high on tackles in the open field sometimes and leaves his chest exposed. He was able to use this technique in high school because of his strength but will not work against 200 plus running backs. His tackles are often unorthodox, and he needs to improve his form. Like former Alabama safety, Minkah Fitzpatrick, he can play close to the line of scrimmage and help in the run game and short pass game. He also has the ability to play both safety and cornerback.

Player Comparison: Minkah Fitzpatrick (DB) Miami Dolphins
