Danny Lewis Scouting Report
Strengths: Has Great Frame, Physical Runner After The Catch, Effective Route Runner, Can Catch The Football In Traffic, Versatile
Weaknesses: Speed
Evaluation: Danny Lewis is a big-body hybrid tight end. He is an aggressive blocker who can help pave the way for ball carriers while lining up out wide or along the line of scrimmage. He presents a defensive mismatch with his blend of athleticism and size. He runs sharp and tight routes, and knows how to get off the line of scrimmage against bump-and-run coverage with some impressive releases. His thick frame allows him to absorb contact in pull in catches in traffic. He does not posses elite speed or quickness, but he does not need to be extremely fast to be an effective tight end. He covers a lot of ground with his long strides and is tough to bring down after the catch. He lowers his shoulders and fights for every yard. Lewis finishes runs like a running back.
