Zion Elee recently put Alabama in his top five, and he wants to visit the Crimson Tide this season.
Elee attends St Frances Academy in Maryland, and he is a 2026 five-star recruit. Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon and Penn State currently make up Elee’s top five. The five-star is eyeing a trip to Tuscaloosa this fall.
“I am going down for a game soon,” Elee told Touchdown Alabama.
The Tide have been in frequent contact with a junior, and he feels their message to him has been well received.
“Really, just to be a part of their program,” said Elee.
Alabama offered the Maryland product in April.
“It means a lot one of the best schools in the country wants me,” Elee said after earning the offer. “Based on what I know, I am sure they are a really hard-working team, and they take care of all their players.”
The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder possesses prototypical size and length for a future edge defender. He flashes a quick get-off at the line of scrimmage and impressive backside pursuit when he is getting after ball carries. He also shows an ability to use his length to his advantage in a variety of ways, including to keep offensive linemen out of his chest and to tip balls once quarterbacks release a pass.
