Akylin Dear confirmed he has backed off his commitment to Ole Miss. 

Dear is a 2025 four-star running back out of Mississippi. 

The Crimson Tide hosted him earlier this month for an official, and he had high praised for the Crimson Tide following the visit. 

“The people at Alabama are the people you want around you, like cool people,” Dear told Touchdown Alabama.

Deer was a tenacious runner with an explosive burst as a junior. The four-star finished the 2023 football season with 2,016 rushing yards and 27 rushing touchdowns.
