Alabama has landed their 4th commit for the 2016 class. Raekwon Davis is a defensive tackle from Meridian, Mississippi. The 6-foot-7 315 pounder said, “It just feels like home down there.” Raekwon Davis told 24/7 sports “I called Coach Bo (Davis) and told him what I wanted to do, so he put me on the phone with Nick Saban. I told him I wanted to commit and he said to go ahead and commit. It was great. He was excited when I told him about it.”
Raekwon camped at Alabama in June and really enjoyed his time here. Davis turned in an impressive performance at the OL-DL camp, and earned himslef an offer. Raekwon Davis chose the Tide over offers from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and South Carolina. Burton Burns and Bo Davis was Davis’s recruiter. Alabama offered Raekwon Davis June 14, 2014. Although Davis is not ranked by 24/7 sports, he is ranked in the composite part of 24/7 sports. Postion rank: 27th, State rank: 16th and Compsite ranking: 398. I know this is low, but I expect Davis to make a big jump by summer 2015.
