In-state powerhouse Prattville High School never seems to have a shortage of talent. To help lead the Lions this season, they will have the services of 4-star running back Kingston Davis.
Davis, who stands 6-foot and a sturdy 240 pounds committed to the Michigan Wolverines during the spring. Davis recently spoke with Touchdown Alabama about his commitment and his recruiting.
“I have been working on speed, quickness, and power,” said Davis when asked about his offseason regimen.
“LSU, Florida, Michigan, Ole Miss, and most schools that offered me are still recruiting me.”
As for what makes the bruising runner a coveted prospect? “My vision, burst, and YAC (yards after contact) yards.” While he doesn’t currently hold an offer from Alabama, he’s being recruited by Kirby Smart.
Even though other schools are still recruiting Davis, he makes it clear he is still solid in his commitment to the Wolverines. As to why he committed to the Big Ten school? “I built a strong relationship with the coaches. I love the tradition of the school. The school has a great education program and the fan base is just awesome.”
The Wolverines made major headlines earlier this year when they announced the hiring of a rather famous alum in Jim Harbaugh. Davis holds him in high regard like most others as well. “Coach Harbaugh is a great coach and knows exactly what he is doing.”
Davis is still planning on taking visits and right now will most likely visit Michigan, LSU, Florida, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss.
