It’s back-to-back solid performances from Cincinnati Bengals’ quarterback AJ McCarron.
The former Alabama signal-caller looked comfortable and confident against Chicago Saturday night. He completed 12 of 17 (70.6 percent) pass attempts for 149 yards and a touchdown.
McCarron’s 31-yard touchdown pass to Marvin Jones came in the second quarter, capping off a 9-play, 71-yard drive. He would later engineer a 4-play, 44-yard drive that resulted in a 1-yard touchdown run from Jeremy Hill. Cincinnati defeated Chicago 21-10 and is 2-1 in preseason play. McCarron has completed at least 70 percent his throws in two games.
He was 11 for 15 (73.3 percent) passing with 97 yards, and engineered the Bengals’ lone touchdown drive in the game against Tampa Bay last week.
