Alabama’s junior running back Derrick Henry earned his first collegiate Southeastern Conference award Monday, as he was named Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts against Wisconsin.

Henry, 6-foot-3, 242 pounds, totaled 147 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries in Alabama’s 35-17 win over the Badgers Saturday night at AT&T Stadium. He averaged 11.3 yards per carry and excelled in pass protection, giving senior quarterback Jake Coker time to throw. Henry’s rushing touchdowns came on runs of 51, 37 and two yards.

He also brought in 12 receiving yards on two catches.
