Jalston Fowler was a player that had a drive and determination that was second to none during his time in Tuscaloosa, and now that Fowler is in the NFL he is taking that same approach to each and every snap.
Fowler has been impressing many during his brief time with the Titans so far, including the likes of Titans running backs coach and former Crimson Tide player Sylvester Croom.
Croom talked a little about Flowler saying “His size and athleticism make him a good special-teams player. When you include everything, you’re talking about a guy that’s going to play 30 or 40 plays a game.”
Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt has also been impressed by the young fullback. The Titans head coach spoke about Fowler and said, “Jalston Fowler showed up on special teams a couple of times. If you think about his contributions in the offense and special teams, he becomes a pretty valuable guy. Athletic, very powerful, did a nice job to find his way through the holes and getting on the blocks and was a good lead blocker on a couple of plays.”
Fowler also recovered a fumble against the Buccaneers on his first official stat as an NFL player.
Crimson Tide fans always knew what to expect from Fowler whenever he took the field, and that was consistency and intensity. Now that Fowler is in Tennessee, Titans fans should expect to see those traits each and every Sunday, the same traits that made Fowler a fan favorite in Tuscaloosa.
