We are halfway through the college football season and Alabama fans continue to ask the same question. “Where is Bo Scarbrough?” The anxiety for him to play more is very high.

An NCAA suspension and a knee injury caused Scarbrough to be limited in the first seven games. The 6-foot-2, 240-pound freshman was eligible to play in the last three games, but totaled just two carries in garbage time against Georgia. Crimson Tide’s head coach Nick Saban addressed the media Wednesday on the status of Alabama’s five-star running back.

“Bo’s getting better and better every week,” Saban said. “I see the speed coming back, I see the burst coming back. The biggest thing is we gotta to get him up to speed on knowing what to do and getting him enough reps in practice to get him ready to be able to play in a game, although I do think he’s ready to play in a game now. I do think he can make a contribution, and that’s coming sometime soon.”

Scarbrough’s diversity could see him get reps in the return game on special teams too. Earlier this season, Saban told the press that he was “finding a role” for Scarbrough. The competition will only get tougher for Alabama after Saturday. Scarbrough’s time is coming, but when is the question? He was ranked as the No. 2 athlete in 2014, according to 247 Sports Composite.
