College Football Playoff rankings, Alabama now No. 2

One game was all it took for the College Football Playoff committee to notice Alabama. It moved to No. 2 in the playoff rankings Tuesday, after debuting at No. 4 last week.

The Crimson Tide dominated LSU 30-16 last week at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Running back Derrick Henry rushed for 210 yards and three touchdowns on 38 carries, while Tigers’ ball carrier Leonard Fournette totaled 31 yards and a touchdown on 19 attempts.

Alabama quarterback Jacob Coker completed 75 percent of his throws (18 of 24) with no turnovers in the win.

Head coach Nick Saban and company will travel to Davis Wade Stadium this week to take on Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss. Listed below are the new College Football Playoff rankings, according to ESPN.
