Alabama follows the demeanor of its head coach, Nick Saban. He addressed the media Wednesday about not overlooking Charleston Southern and his players took heed Saturday.

Running back Derrick Henry started the game with a 17-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. He would tack on a two-yard score, giving him 21 touchdowns on the season.
Henry is now tied with former Crimson Tide back Trent Richardson for most in a single season. He ended the first half with nine carries for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior quarterback Jacob Coker completed 11 of 13 passing for 155 yards and two touchdowns. Wide outs Calvin Ridley and Richard Mullaney caught both scores from Coker.
Freshman Bo Scarbrough recorded his first collegiate touchdown in the second quarter, a one-yard run with 1:53 left in the second quarter. Alabama outgained Charleston Southern 254-31.
Defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson leads the team with four tackles, but senior cornerback Cyrus Jones stole the show.
He becomes Alabama’s first player since 1944 to return two punts for touchdowns. Jones returned a 43-yard punt in the first quarter and a 72-yard one in the second. He recorded three tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
