Ex-Alabama players Amari Cooper, Eddie Lacy and C.J. Mosley were not voted into the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl as starters; however, all three will make the event as alternates.
Cooper is having a monster rookie season at wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders. The fourth overall pick from this year’s draft has totaled 1,040 receiving yards with six scores on 68 catches. He became the first rookie wide out in Raiders’ history to record 1,000 yards receiving in a season and the first since Randy Moss (2005) to 1,000 yards in 10 years.
Lacy has not had a dominant third year in the National Football League, yet the Green Bay Packers have a 10-4 record and are in position to win an NFC North division title.
He has sustained some injuries, but Lacy has managed to total 664 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 162 carries. He also chimes in with 17 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown.
Mosley is one of Baltimore’s leaders on defense, accounting for 95 total tackles. The 17th overall pick from last year’s NFL Draft has three sacks, six pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and a touchdown. A solid draft sessions is all the Ravens (4-10) can hope for as it will not make the playoffs.
