It is now official. Wide receiver Gehrig Dieter is transferring to Alabama.
A three-year starter at Bowling Green, Dieter guided the Falcons to a Mid-American Conference championship last season. The 6-foot-3, 207-pound wide out totaled 94 receptions for 1,033 yards and 10 touchdowns. His hands, speed and body control make him an asset for the Crimson Tide. Dieter caught 139 passes for 1,661 yards and 12 scores in three seasons (2012, 2014-15).
He made his decision Saturday via Twitter.

The addition of Dieter gives Alabama depth at wide receiver. It returns Calvin Ridley, ArDarius Stewart, Robert Foster and others, but Dieter’s experience will open up a chance for playing time. Richard Mullaney was a godsend talent in 2015. The former Oregon State wide receiver accounted for 390 yards and five touchdowns on 38 receptions. Dieter is set to march with his degree from Bowling Green in May.
