The Crimson Tide picked up a nice addition for its 2016 unit, acquiring wide receiver Gehrig Dieter from Bowling Green.
He totaled 1,033 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns on 94 catches last season. Dieter along with his father, Derek, took an official visit to the University of Alabama this week.

The former Falcon will don a special uniform number next season. It started with wide receiver David Palmer (1991-93) and made its way to Heisman-winner Derrick Henry last year.
Derek Dieter posted a photo Thursday to Twitter of his son sporting the coveted No. 2 jersey.

He will compete with Robert Foster, Cameron Sims and others for a starting role, but Gehrig Dieter looks poised to make an immediate impact.
