Linebacker Reggie Ragland is expected to start for the Bills in the fall.
His combination of instincts against the run mixed with lateral quickness in the passing game, made him an ideal selection for Buffalo in the second round (41st overall pick) of the 2016 NFL Draft.
The former Alabama standout and SEC Defensive Player of the Year came to terms today on a contract with the team, per Aaron Wilson (Houston Chronicle) and his agency, Vanguard Sports.

Ragland totaled 102 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, seven pass breakups, six quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles in 15 games a year ago. He anchored a unit that allowed 75.7 rushing yards (led CFB), 276.3 total yards (among CFB leaders) and 15.1 points a game (among CFB leaders).
No numerical data has been released on his contract, but Ragland is looking at possibly receiving a $5.8 million deal for four years (NFL’s Over the Cap site). Stay tuned to Touchdown Alabama Magazine for more updates on Ragland and all Crimson Tide players in the National Football League.
