Alabama’s dual athlete Tony Brown competed in the NCAA Division I East Regional today in Jacksonville, Florida. Men and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field holds this event annually to display the athleticism of collegiate Division I track and field participants throughout the nation. Brown competed in the Men’s 110 meter hurdles placing second in his preliminary heat with the ninth fastest time at 13.81. Brown will be advancing to the quarter final tomorrow.
When Brown is not on the track and field, he is known for his success on the Crimson Tide football team. Coming out of high school Brown was a five-star prospect with offers from several top programs in Division I college football. Last season, Brown contributed depth on defense and special teams recording a total of 16 tackles.
Alabama fans hope to see Brown stay out of trouble and carry his success back onto the football field for the 2016 season. Brown’s talent is undisputed and if he stays focused he can continue to provide depth on defense and earn the spot as the starting defensive back.
